  Position Overview:
  Albany Medical Center is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro ICU/SICU to provide exceptional care for patients in the Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU departments. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of ICU staff experience, including Neuro ICU/SICU settings, and be proficient with Epic electronic medical records (EMR).
  
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  --- Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU and SICU.
  --- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
  --- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, and overall health. Assess patients' needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  --- Documentation: Accurately document patient conditions, interventions, and responses to treatment in the Epic EMR system.
  --- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient care and comfort while maintaining communication with patients' families.
  --- Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  --- Competency Testing: Complete competency testing within 48 hours of submission, sent via email to candidates.
  
  
  Qualifications:
  --- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU staff experience required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Neuro ICU and SICU settings.
  --- Licensure: Current RN license required. Candidates with pending state licenses may be considered.
  --- Epic Experience: Epic EMR experience is REQUIRED.
  --- Certifications: ACLS and BLS certification required.
  --- Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
