Description: Unistress Corporation is seeking a motivated
Engineering Intern to support our Continuous Improvement
Initiatives and assist with our Plant Expansion projects at our
Pittsfield, Massachusetts headquarters. This internship offers
hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, providing
exposure to various aspects of Industrial engineering, process
optimization, and project management.?KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Process
Analysis and Improvement: Conduct time studies and analyze current
workflows within the plant to identify inefficiencies. Develop and
implement standardized work procedures to enhance productivity and
reduce waste.? Project Support: Assist in the planning and
execution of plant expansion projects, including site assessments,
design evaluations, and construction oversight. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and
within budget.?Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and analyze
data related to production processes, quality control, and safety
metrics. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings
and recommend improvements to management.?Collaboration: Work
closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to
implement continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in team
meetings, contribute ideas, and support problem-solving
activities.? Position Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial
Engineering or a related engineering field. Candidates should have
completed at least two years of coursework. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and familiarity
with project management tools. Strong analytical skills and
experience with data analysis techniques.?Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the
capacity to convey complex information clearly and concisely.Team
Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment,
demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to
problem-solving.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills
with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all
tasks.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Nice to have, but not
Mandatory)Seismic Design Knowledge: Completion of coursework or
practical experience in seismic design principles, enabling the
assessment and enhancement of structural resilience against seismic
events.Experience or coursework in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma,
or other continuous improvement methodologies. Previous internship
or co-op experience in a manufacturing or construction
environment.? Familiarity with construction laws, environmental
regulations, and safety standards relevant to plant expansion
